2024 Artist Residency at the Regen Art Lab, an interdisciplinary collaboration between Regen’s clean energy experts and UK-based artists. The project, which features a series of framed portraits alongside a short film, celebrates the human stories behind the energy transition and its far-reaching impact on communities.
The artwork highlights how renewable energy creates new opportunities and strengthens local communities—bringing new jobs, funding for local projects, and support for people struggling with energy costs to make their homes more comfortable.
It also showcases how farms and community buildings can reduce running costs and how solar farms can work in harmony with nature to foster new areas of biodiversity.
The portraits are painted in alder ink, crafted from alder cones harvested at Shillingford Organics—a farm that hosts solar photovoltaic panels from Exeter Community Energy. By using this locally sourced ink, the artwork is directly connected to the land and communities it celebrates.
